entertaining, my foot

i'm a stranger in a strange land.

it's odd to be taken out to dinner. it's odd to have it referred to as 'entertaining a client'. the group here took my group out last night and spent $50 a person, easily. tried alligator, crawfish, lobster claws. all different textures of chicken.

i'm trying to find a way to spend the weekend in new orleans. the drive is far too short to rationalize not going. however, i believe that i might have spent too much money to check out of my hotel any time soon.

i almost wish that i didn't have such close proximity to new orleans. i would have an excuse to have a junk food fest in my hotel room. that's probably just my depression talking.
