paul is not dead
okay. i'm a beatles fan. it's not that i have all their vital stats committed to memory. i'm not even going to purchase everything with their picture on it. but i do have a very personal attachment to the fab four. just like my hang up on buster keaton or molly ringwald. i may not know every single detail or even like everything they do. i just think that they are grand and wish that they would come over for a few screwdrivers every once in a while...
here's my deal with the beatles right now. i know that we all pick favorites with this group and that's fine. like them for whatever reason and i'm not going to criticize who you pick. i'm just not. (please read that as a pathetic attempt for you to do the same).
however if i had to pick the order in which they reached the end... well, it wouldn't be anything like it is now.
i love you paul. really. big time. yes, you are the cute one. we all know that you wrote yesterday. it's all very enchanting. however, you are also the one who can't stop flogging the live tours and the beatle remakes. you were a beatle, we get it.
ringo has had bad health his entire life. (read 1979 in the link) i hate to think that our friend paul is going to be the remainder of one of history's biggest pop phenomenons. this man throws a great pity party.
i'll stop here because i don't want to harp on paul too much, honestly. i'm just thinking that had john still been alive that he would have kicked yoko to the curb long ago. here's denis leary's thoughts:
