The Cast of Characters

~most of the names have been changed, i'm not telling which~

mommylap/LAP:
she is my faux sister/real friend. she believes in me and if you read her story you'll realize how valuable her opinion is. besides, she's just damn cool.

r:
my roomie, my ex, my friend. we met at work. dated for close to two years. he gives me a hard time every now and then but i still love him. would like to protect him from everything.

the boy/eli:
my boyfriend. he shares the responsibility with LAP for being my best friend. he brings a smile to my face & i can't kiss him without feeling good.

opus:
another roomie and a good pal. he always has a hug ready. he fills in the brother that i never had category. fabulous musician.

eddie:
the final roomie. a talented drummer and a good guy. sometimes he gets worked up and i have no idea why. in general eddie is here to do good in the world.

tee:
r's ex. they dated in high school, broke up, got back together, got engaged. then she cheated on him, they broke up and he tried to kill himself. now they got back together. eli says her only redeeming quality is that she's cute. i concur.

big d:
co-worker who is also dealing with depression. wants to please everyone but hasn't pleased himself yet. sometimes i love him and others i want to ring his neck... he just needs to forgive himself and move on. (of course i know what i'm talking about. yeah. right.)

j:
a recovered friend from NoDak. was dating him for a bit but now eli and i have gotten serious. he says all the right things, does all the right things and would support and spoil me. this is probably why it didn't work.

chaplin:
my cat. also known as the chap and professor peebody. love him dearly. he has tried to thwart this love with large portions of piss in unfortunate areas, yet my love does not diminish. if you have had a warm furry fuzzy buddy that stuck with you through anything... that's the chap.

bub:
this guy... i could tell you stories about him. let's just narrow it down to him being the boy's friend. he thinks that i'm nuts. it involves kissing & aleve. i'll explain later. [er... here & here]

joe:
this guy was in a band with the boy and i. there was jealousy about a relationship that hadn't started yet. joe and i dated because we started kissing one night and i thought it was the kosher thing to do.

sis:
i don't know why i bother to cover her butt with an alias because she's never going to come looking but i love her. she's made life...interesting. (read: painful, fun, unusual, great)
